C.S. Lewis said, “Love is not affectionate feeling, but a steady wish for the loved person’s ultimate good as far as it can be obtained.” It’s true. Real love really isn’t all about affection. It is, ultimately, a decision. A commitment towards imperfect people and to seek what is best for them. This is exactly what Christ’s love for us is like.
