Daniel 10:1-21 In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a message was revealed to Daniel, who was named Belteshazzar; and the message was true and one of great conflict, but he understood the message and had an understanding of the vision. [2] In those days I, Daniel, had been mourning for three entire weeks. [3] I did not eat any tasty food, nor did meat or wine enter my mouth, nor did I use any ointment at all, until the entire three weeks were completed. [4] And on the twenty-fourth day of the first month, while I was by the bank of the great river, that is, the Tigris, [5] I lifted my eyes and looked, and behold, there was a certain man dressed in linen, whose waist was girded with a belt of pure gold of Uphaz. [6] His body also was like beryl, his face had the appearance of lightning, his eyes were like flaming torches, his arms and feet like the gleam of polished bronze, and the sound of his words like the sound of a tumult. [7] Now I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, while the men who were with me did not see the vision; nevertheless, a great dread fell on them, and they ran away to hide themselves. [8] So I was left alone and saw this great vision; yet no strength was left in me, for my natural color turned to a deathly pallor, and I retained no strength. [9] But I heard the sound of his words; and as soon as I heard the sound of his words, I fell into a deep sleep on my face, with my face to the ground.

[10] Then behold, a hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees. [11] And he said to me, "O Daniel, man of high esteem, understand the words that I am about to tell you and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you." And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling. [12] Then he said to me, "Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words. [13] "But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia. [14] "Now I have come to give you an understanding of what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision pertains to the days yet future." [15] And when he had spoken to me according to these words, I turned my face toward the ground and became speechless. [16] And behold, one who resembled a human being was touching my lips; then I opened my mouth and spoke, and said to him who was standing before me, "O my lord, as a result of the vision anguish has come upon me, and I have retained no strength. [17] "For how can such a servant of my lord talk with such as my lord? As for me, there remains just now no strength in me, nor has any breath been left in me."

[18] Then this one with human appearance touched me again and strengthened me. [19] And he said, "O man of high esteem, do not be afraid. Peace be with you; take courage and be courageous!" Now as soon as he spoke to me, I received strength and said, "May my lord speak, for you have strengthened me." [20] Then he said, "Do you understand why I came to you? But I shall now return to fight against the prince of Persia; so I am going forth, and behold, the prince of Greece is about to come. [21] "However, I will tell you what is inscribed in the writing of truth. Yet there is no one who stands firmly with me against these forces except Michael your prince.

Most of us our major problem in life is what? It’s like Daniel, we are focused really on us, and if you look at the world today that is where the world is headed, if you go now to Disney Land or Disney World hinde mo mahahalatang masyado but if your eyes, if your heart is Christian makikita mo that our age today is going to lift up man, the human, if you can think of it you can do it, the focus of the entire universe is on men. How many of you have been angry? Now if you have ever been angry to the point where.. hinde ba pag nagalit ka nagdidilim na, saan ka naka-focus? There is an object, you are angry with somebody. In this chapter, this is a unique chapter, I think God’s message to us in this chapter is very simple and very loud and very clear that the universe does not revolve around man that there are many things around us that are superior to us that we can’t even see, that we have very little knowledge about. Have you notice the movies lately, where are their focus? Aliens, occult, spaceship, they are now going to virtual reality, all sorts of spirits on the occult, they are all around, weird stuff and many people do not understand demons, evil spirits and so forth and so on. And tonight we want to talk to you about that. In v. 1, what happened in v. 1? Daniel gets a very clear vision, what did he see? According to v. 1, nakakita na naman siya ng vision, it’s like watching a big war movie, great conflict, did he understand it this time? The bible says in v. 1, he understood the message and he understood the vision very, very clearly kaya dahil don anong ginawa niya? v. 2&3, He mourn, he had been in mourning for three entire weeks, he was in deep prayer, nakikita niya yung mga mangyayari and he began to petition God, he continued to fast. And because of that in v. 5, He saw a man? It says a man in the bible but it really was not a man, What was it? Have you ever seen a man like that, his His body also was like beryl, his face had the appearance of lightning, his eyes were like flaming torches, his arms and feet like the gleam of polished bronze, and the sound of his words like the sound of a tumult. That’s a powerful being, is that sound like a man to you? No!, it wasn’t a man and then he saw a vision, this is a picture of Daniel’s struggling in much prayer, real prayer is a struggle, it’s very difficult and tonight we want to talk to you about this thing [10] Then behold, a hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees. [11] And he said to me, "O Daniel, man of high esteem, understand the words that I am about to tell you and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you." And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling. Look at v. 12.

[12] Then he said to me, "Do not be afraid, What was the reaction of Daniel when he saw this guy? This guy touch him, he was afraid, fear and trembling, v. 12 is the key, Do not be afraid Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words. The key to prayer is a broken and a contrite heart. Did you notice that in v.12? Sabi dito, from the first day that you set your heart to gain understanding and humble yourself before God. In other words we must learn before you even pray, ang attitude ng ating puso ang tinitingnan ni God, if you are a proud man maski gaano kahaba ang dasal mo you have no chance, if you want your prayer to be heard you’ve got to get your heart right with God and that means a humble and a contrite heart. Many people pray, Do you know that the satan is also pray, praying is irrelevant, it’s important, who do you pray to, how do you pray? If your heart is not right tapos na, if your praying to the right God, if your heart is right then notice here how quickly God response, your words were heard and I have come in response to your word.

But you know what is interesting is v.13,"But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; Now who is the me, who is the guy talking? Was it a man? It’s an angel, it cannot be a man because no man is like that, the other people would have seen and so forth and so on, you have 21 reasons why this cannot be possibly a man, it’s an angel and what is interesting is v. 13, pinapunta siya ni God kay Daniel to give Daniel an understanding of the vision and then something happen, What happen in v. 13? Let’s read it together. "But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; Daniel and then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia. You what’s going on there, who is Michael? Again, an angel. What is the key truth that you and I can pick up?

Key Truths

(Hebrews 2:14-15) Since then the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil; [15] and might deliver those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.

Punong-puno po itong verse na ito ng napakadaming katotohanan that it will take me a while to disect it for you but what I would simply like to do this evening is to tell you every person on this planet earth who have sin they are therefor enslave to the devil. Why did Jesus died on the cross? To pay for our sins, that’s only one aspect of salvation. According to this verse, why did He die on the cross? To render the devil powerless. It is important to understand that salvation is a process. You know what He did after He forgave all of your sin, He came to set you free. And I’m afraid as I sit here many of us are still not free even though we say Jesus Christ is Lord, we have no idea of the bandage we are in.

Can the devil posses a believer yes or no? Many believers, many good Christians, many fundamentalist do not believe that if you are a believer that the devil can possess you. But you know there is no scripture to back them up, there is no scripture in the entire bible that say if you’re a believer in Jesus Christ the devil cannot but many pastors believe that to the death Crimean of themselves and their congregation. The truth and the reality is that he can. We your leaders in CCF are getting rock by God on this truth. Some of us used to believed them, in fact we just had the debate on that again this lunch time, it is becoming evidently clear to us that the devil can. We have had now see long time believers, if I tell you who they are you get shock. Possess by the devil, they have now undergone exorcism and you will not believe what happens. Peter will tell you the story he taught some of it last Sunday. You know what kind of spirit were there? Ladies and gentlemen, the devil can take hold of you and if he has not yet done so, he will, you know why? What’s the root, what the issue? Let’s boil them down to three:

1. that you need to guard with everything that you have. He can control even a believer, when? When the believer is in sin. If you are a believer and you are in sin malaking probleman yan. Let’s go to Ephes. 4:25-27

Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body. [26] "In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, [27] and do not give the devil a foothold. See whenever you see the word therefor in the bible that means conclusion. Therefore ito ang dapat gawin mo, ang verse 25, ang sinasabi po diyan. 1.) is lying. How does Jesus Christ describe the devil? He’s a murderer and a liar, he’s the father of lies. If you are in the habit of lying you are probably in the bandage of the devil, if you habitually lies, if that’s your instinct that cannot be from God. Where is it coming from, why are you lying, see that’s not come from God anymore that’s from the devil. And you know what they discovered? This is very prevalent among many Christians.

    1. We are untruthful because we are afraid, if we tell the truth my wife will get mad or something will happen. Think of it if the devil is a liar, and you are lying guess who has control over you and if he has a little part of you what makes you think he will got all of you.
    2. What’s a sin? Is anger a sin? No!. Anger is not a sin. It says be angry but do not sin and then it goes on to say, do not let the sun go… because if you don’t what happens? Read the next verse Ephes. 4:26, BE ANGRY, AND yet DO NOT SIN; do not let the sun go down on your anger,
    3. Because if you do this and you let it fester you’ll give the devil an opportunity now a foot hold. Do not give the devil a place.

Now listen to me, if there lying, anger, pagnakikita mo yan sa buhay mo you need to repent of those. The third one, what is it? bitterness. Where will anger lead to? Bitterness. Lack of an unforgiving heart. Many of us have bitterness against our parents, 90% of kids some kind of angry or bitterness or rebelliousness or any authority, guess who’s at your door? Demonyo. Lying, anger, bitterness, rebellion against authority yan ang mga roots, the next one is immorality and idolatry. If you do not confess your sin the demon don’t go. Please we are asking you for your good and if you have children for their sakes, it affects your children, yon po ang dinadali ng mga demonyo, the kids are defenseless, you as parents you must be the one protecting them, it’s an appeal. You have to traced back every sin and repent of it. If you are in sin now boy!, I cannot to you the danger you are in, the devil is real, he will destroy you and your family, you’ve got to have God’s protection and say, Jesus is Lord is not enough you have to live a Holy Life., therefor category 1, if you are in sin right now, you list that down tonight and you confess each and everyone of those and you say it to God basically "Lord I have sinned these sin and I’d like to repent and turn around, break the bandage that satan may have cover me, cover me with the blood of Jesus. Then you go to the next sin. If you have sin that does not go away, yun bang laging kino-confess mo. I’m warning you we have had very stalwart Christian. Please believe the scripture greater is He who is in you but you can only claim that if you are living a Holy life, if you’re harboring sin how can you say Jesus help me, hinde puede. So look through your life.

    1. Lying
    2. Anger
    3. Bitterness
    4. Immorality
    5. Idolatry

The End is near, the demon spirits they are moving. But we need to end on a positive note, 1 John 4:4, greater is He who is in you… but you know you never went to chapter 5, chapter 5 is even better. A better statement 1 John 5:18, We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him. This is the verse that the pastors keep tossing around, see if you’re born again the evil one cannot touch you. And then we tell him okay pastor look at the verse very carefully, what do you see in the verse? 1 John 5:19, We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. If you claim that you are a believer and you continue to sin this verse does not apply to you and the chances are the devil has control over you and you need to break away and you can do it only to the power of Jesus Christ. What is the principle? Let’s read together. We should not allow sin in our lives so that the devil will not have any control over us. Peter’s children grew up immediately and they said, "We have to take sin more seriously." We do not take it very seriously and do you know the devil’s objective? John 10:10 is to destroy you and your family. If you and your wife are fighting, if there are things going wrong in your life, nothing seems to be going right, don’t blame your wife. Sinong kalaban? Ang demonyo, we do not struggle against flesh and blood.
