God is a very specific God and He deals a little detail. We just like to overview what are the hearts of the prophecy. These are the few of the most debated verses in the entire of Christianity, more than revelation. We will not enter into debate we will take it simple great one, to me that’s always the easiest and best way to do it. Don’t make it very complicated. Get the key and once you get the key, you ask yourself the questions, "Ano ba ang significance nito sa aking buhay?." We will do the old observation methods. Who is this prophecy all about? The prophecy is about the Jews and Jerusalem.

• Target: Jews and Jerusalem (v. 24)
• 6 Elements:

• Finish Transgressions - The rebellion of the Jews against God.
• Make an end of sin - To seal up (Job 9:7)/-to restrained the people
• Make atonement for sin - To make reconciliation / "kaphar"- to cover up sin
• Bring everlasting righteousness
• Seal up vision/Prophecy- Everyone will understand all the prophecies starting from Genesis. It will be very clear to us at some point in time.
• Anoint most Holy Place - the temple

• Time Span: 70 "Weeks"

• lit. "units of seven"(v. 25) Daniel 9:25-26"So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress. [26] "Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined. Daniel 9:27 "And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate."

 70 Weeks Overview

605 BC - Daniel got captured by the Babylonians, that was a prediction by Jeremiah. Daniel made this prophecy 538 BC, Daniel 9:25, "So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem .There are three decrees na pinagtatalunan pinagtatalunan ng mga Kristiayano. Let me just give to you the bible verses so that you will know where the decrees are. First decree is found in 1Chronicle 36:23 or Ezra 1: 2-4. It was the decree by Cyrus. Two decrees made by the same king. The first one is in Ezra 7, the king was Artaxerxes, ang decree niya was in 458 BC. The most logical one is the same king in 444 BC, he issued another decree and it says basically the Jews would go back and rebuilt the city. Where do you find that decree? You will find that in Neh. 2:5-8

And I said to the king, "If it please the king, and if your servant has found favor before you, send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers' tombs, that I may rebuild it." [6] Then the king said to me, the queen sitting beside him, "How long will your journey be, and when will you return?" So it pleased the king to send me, and I gave him a definite time. [7] And I said to the king, "If it please the king, let letters be given me for the governors of the provinces beyond the River, that they may allow me to pass through until I come to Judah, [8] and a letter to Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the fortress which is by the temple, for the wall of the city, and for the house to which I will go." And the king granted them to me because the good hand of my God was on me. What was the first seven, first seven weeks what will happen? Daniel 9:25

"So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress. What is the it? Jerusalem! Very good! So it is not the temple it is Jerusalem. So, what did Nehemiah do? Inumpisahan nila building of the walls etc. What is the seven weeks? That’s the time exactly when Jerusalem rebuilt again, it took then 49 years even in times of distress. Now that’s the easy part, Now the 62 Weeks, Today we count 365, in the old days 360. The difference is very simple, yung 365 is based on the solar days, the 360 is based on lunar days. So 360, If you use 360 days and you start counting from the time of this decree, do you know what 62 weeks will lead you to? 62 + 7 + 69, it will lead you exactly to Jesus Christ. 444 BC, if you use 360 days it is exactly 483 year a total 173, 880 days from 444 BC to the day of Christ entry to Jerusalem and when the bible says he will be cut, Did you read what Daniel said? What will happen at that time? The Messiah after the 62 week will be cut off so there is no big debate, they had is it 30 AD or 33 AD. When was Jesus born 4 BC believe it or not Jesus was born before Christ, they calculate it as 4 BC. Believe it or not to even arrived to Jesus that is already fantastic, that is already a miracle all by itself and what did Daniel say? The Messiah will be cut off and have nothing. Did that happened? Yes, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. You know what happened? The Romans came and they destroy the city when was it? 70 AD. If you turn to Rev. 12:6

And the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God, so that there she might be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days. In other words in the bible very important how did the Jews counted and how we count? Which one should we use? Theirs because they were the ones writing. So sa Revelation pag nakikita mo yon it is always calculated we believe on a 360 day calendar. Back to Daniel, What can we learn? Therefore how many week are now left? One, how many years that? Daniel 9:27

"And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, You know what is happening? Yung seven years na yon, there is now a gap after the 69 weeks there is now a gap, We don’t know where the one week will begin, the last week is unknown. Right now we are in the gap. In other words we’re waiting for a seven year period? When will it begin? We don’t know, it’s been almost 2000 years since Jesus came. In other words when you look at the prophecy your stand that it is exact. Sa Revelation it expands on that last seven and he, who is that he? Yan yung anti-Christ,

"And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate." The anti-Christ, it says here the he will make a covenant at the beginning of this seven years will be mark by a covenant with who? You watch Israel, Israel is nation to watch. Basically what this is saying, the anti-Christ, diba yung mga Arab at mga Hudyo nag-aaway away, what are they all seeking now? Peace in the Middle East, this is what will usher in the anti-Christ, he will bring peace. Notice what it says, he will make a firm covenant with the many for how many weeks? One, that means seven years. After three and a half years of peace what will he do? He will break it and then aatakihin niya ngayon yung mga Hudyo and it will have to do with worshipping someone who is not God. Ladies and Gentlemen if you read Daniel again, Daniel is a glimpse of what will happen. That’s exactly what will happen, people will be thrown into furnaces. Now let me ask you, if you were sitting here and then one day the PNP said, "We have to go to EDSA and bow down" what will you do? if its at the penalty of death what will you do? Let me tell you the story, it’s a true story. Did you know that in Russia, several years ago, there were the soviet union, there was a time when yung mga Kristiyano they would worship not in places like this kasi very public ito eh so they would worship yung mga secret places. So in this Russian Church, Christian church, one day in a room like that biglang bumukas yung pintuan and the Russian guard came in with their submachine guns, nagulat lahat yung mga Kristiyano and the guads said, "Okay you have one chance to save your life, all those who denied Jesus you can leave, you will be alive but all those who decide to stay we will shoot you all." And then somebody leaves, can you imagine the pressure in you now? If the guy besides you stand up and walks away what will you do? Almost half of the church stood up and left and the Russian guards they closed the door tapos binaba nila yung baril nila, let’s now continue with the worship sabi nung mga guards, we just wanted to check sino yung tunay na Kristiyano atsaka yung hinde, they were Christians but they wanted to check who the real ones kasi kung hinde at madaming hinde totoo irereport sila eh, they were afraid for their own lives. Many they run away, how about us? Will we run away? What is being prophesied will come true, there will come a time that the good news is that were will be there ? What can we learn, some principles in our life. All of this came to Daniel because he was praying. Let me give you some basic truths that we can learn.

1. God answers specific prayers of a man with a broken heart and contrite heart with specifics.- God will give you specifics like He gave Daniel.
2. God does not reveal everything about His plans.
3. God is always faithful to keep His word.
4. History is fulfilling God’s plan.

One of the reasons why I believe in the bible secondary is nakikita ko yung prophecy and when I study nakikita ko yung exact, it is precise, then you have to believe that bible is written by God because nobody can predict the future and yet it is happening therefor what do we know? If it is like that what is the implication to us? Alam niyo si Daniel nakita niya 70 years ang desolation matatapos na he began to pray, what do we know now. We read from Daniel 70 weeks ito and then what will usher him? After the 70 weeks it will be God’s kingdom, God’s kingdom will reign, there will be justice, there will be peace, an ever lasting righteousness. Therefor what should we as a Christian community begin to do? Let’s pray, let’s pray what? Let’s go LORD. In fact in the Our Father what does it say? Our Father who art in heaven hollowed be thy name thy kingdom come, in fact the ending of the Revelation is what? What are the last words? Come quickly. Revelation will show you the part that the gap that Daniel left, it’s the church age. Gap ni Daniel between Jesus Christ in the end times. What’s the gap? Tayo yun eh, hinde ipinakita ni God kay Daniel yon eh, .Christ in you the mystery reveal. Kay Paul, sa atin pinapakita yon. We know we have the scriptures, the scriptures are telling us what will going to happen. We are so close to the end we can smell it. And therefor as we close this evening ask yourself, What am I living for? Are you or are you not playing for high stakes in heaven, naka-focus ka pa ba sa earth o sa langit? Most of the time if you will be like your focus is on.. rather than Jesus is coming soon. Suppose He come sooner than I think, delikado. The end is so closed, 90% is finished only 10% left. There’s only be a spand of 7 years tapos na but before that something else will happen maybe but since we are studying only in Daniel, hinde pa tayo nag-aaral ng iba eto lang ang alam natin so if you are I need you to do three things:

1. Start aligning your life to God’s ways. Turn your bibles to Proverbs 16: 2, All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight, But the LORD weighs the motives. What does it mean to align myself to God? It starts with my motives.

Proverbs 16:3

Commit your works to the LORD,

And your plans will be established.

Pag ang motibo mo ay tama hinde ka gagawa ng saliwa sa pamamaraan ng Diyos. You will never plan that way therefor once you commit your plans or your works to the Lord what will God do? He will bless it.

Proverbs 16:4

The LORD has made everything for its own purpose,

Even the wicked for the day of evil.

So, don’t be wicked.

Proverbs 16:5

Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD;

Assuredly, he will not be unpunished.

The bible is simple ladies and gentlemen what we need to do is to align our self to God starting with our motives

2. To involved God in all of our daily life even our goal, even our marriage, even our meeting involved God, commit your works to Him.
3. Humble yourself before God. Do not be proud. Humble means I trust God’s word.
