Daniel 4, The Secret of Success. We’ll share you the first step tonight. Let’s start reading from v. 1-4, Daniel 4:1-4, Nebuchadnezzar the king to all the peoples, nations, and men of every language that live in all the earth: "May your peace abound! [2] "It has seemed good to me to declare the signs and wonders which the Most High God has done for me.

[3] "How great are His signs,

And how mighty are His wonders!

His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,

And His dominion is from generation to generation.

[4] "I, Nebuchadnezzar, was at ease in my house and flourishing in my palace.

Daniel 4:5-18

"I saw a dream and it made me fearful; and these fantasies as I lay on my bed and the visions in my mind kept alarming me. [6] "So I gave orders to bring into my presence all the wise men of Babylon, that they might make known to me the interpretation of the dream. [7] "Then the magicians, the conjurers, the Chaldeans, and the diviners came in, and I related the dream to them; but they could not make its interpretation known to me. [8] "But finally Daniel came in before me, whose name is Belteshazzar according to the name of my god, and in whom is a spirit of the holy gods; and I related the dream to him, saying, [9] 'O Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, since I know that a spirit of the holy gods is in you and no mystery baffles you, tell me the visions of my dream which I have seen, along with its interpretation. [10] 'Now these were the visions in my mind as I lay on my bed: I was looking, and behold, there was a tree in the midst of the earth, and its height was great.

[11] 'The tree grew large and became strong,

And its height reached to the sky,

And it was visible to the end of the whole earth.

[12] 'Its foliage was beautiful and its fruit abundant,

And in it was food for all.

The beasts of the field found shade under it,

And the birds of the sky dwelt in its branches,

And all living creatures fed themselves from it.

[13] 'I was looking in the visions in my mind as I lay on my bed, and behold, an angelic watcher, a holy one, descended from heaven.

[14] 'He shouted out and spoke as follows:

"Chop down the tree and cut off its branches,

Strip off its foliage and scatter its fruit;

Let the beasts flee from under it,

And the birds from its branches.

[15] "Yet leave the stump with its roots in the ground,

But with a band of iron and bronze around it

In the new grass of the field;

And let him be drenched with the dew of heaven,

And let him share with the beasts in the grass of the earth.

[16] "Let his mind be changed from that of a man,

And let a beast's mind be given to him,

And let seven periods of time pass over him.

[17] "This sentence is by the decree of the angelic watchers,

And the decision is a command of the holy ones,

In order that the living may know

That the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind,

And bestows it on whom He wishes,

And sets over it the lowliest of men."

[18] 'This is the dream which I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen. Now you, Belteshazzar, tell me its interpretation, inasmuch as none of the wise men of my kingdom is able to make known to me the interpretation; but you are able, for a spirit of the holy gods is in you.' So the story is very simple, he is the king and once again, this king what happened to him? He began to have a dream and so you have to understand for those of you who are new here king Nebuchadnezzar, he was the most powerful man on earth then because he had conquered everything and he was ruler and therefor this is a man by human standards, he is the picture of success. What ever he says goes, you see his number one? Yeah! His number one in the kingdom, there’s nobody to check him. Would you like to be king like that? You know this king was there and sabi niya look at v. 4, I, Nebuchadnezzar, was at home in my palace, and how was he feeling? contented and prosperous. How many of you are prosperous? How many would like to be prosperous? Now, if you think about that and you think… why was he contented? Okay he’s number one therefor he has power, wealth, authority, he owns the whole kingdom and he has all this wise men giving him council therefor where is his contentment based upon? Okay, on things of this world, we like to have those, aren’t we are working for possessions, money, power to become promoted? You know when you get there this book has something to say to you, the bible has something to say to all of us, some of us are ahead of the others but do you know when you’re getting there people think that when I am at the top, when I have position, power and possessions then like the king I got it made, kontento na ako, happy na, kasi meron na ako lahat non’ eh, but look at v. 5. In v. 5, what happened to the king? I saw a dream and it made me what? fearful and these fantasies on my bed, the visions in my mind kept alarming me. In other words maski na nasa top ka na… can that protect you from fear, from worry, from anxiety, in fact pag nasa no. 1 ka na you will always be looking unless you’re the king even yung king eh, do you know the king of old? They would be so insecured that they would have a profession called the cup bearer. What would the cup bearer do? Bago uminom yung king, he does not who he can trust eh, meron siyang isang tao ron iinom muna pag hindi namatay in 10 seconds that means okay na yun. Would you like to be like that? somebody will drink before you and he is not or she is not your wife or your husband? Okay ba yun, would you like that? hinde maganda. You know a long time ago, I was in Hawaii and nakasabay ko sa elevator on e or the former president of the United States and you know the former president maski hinde na sila president they still have body guards and I often wondered Boy! What kind of life is that. I mean I cannot even go to the beach wala akong body guard baka merong papatay sa iyo or something like that because of what you did. It’s an awful kind of life and yet all of us are striving for it, all of us are moving in that direction. And this evening we want to share with you that do you know that that’s the wrong road? If you travel that road to become no. 1 by accumulating position, power, or possessions you will just be extremely disappointed both ways. Hinde gaganda ang iyong buhay and so in this little chapter let’s look at what we can learn, what does it mean to be really successful, how can I become at the top and yet without this fear. Anung problema nung hari? What was his problem? Once we understand that problem, maintindihan natin kung anu yung solution. So he had a dream, he saw a big tree, what happened to the tree? It was basically chop down and let’s look at the interpretation of Daniel? Let’s go back to our bibles, let’s read starting from v. 19 then Daniel, "Then Daniel, whose name is Belteshazzar, was appalled for a while as his thoughts alarmed him. The king responded and said, 'Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its interpretation alarm you.' Belteshazzar answered and said, 'My lord, if only the dream applied to those who hate you, and its interpretation to your adversaries! In other words ang sama nung nakita ni Daniel, let’s read from v. 20, 'The tree that you saw, which became large and grew strong, whose height reached to the sky and was visible to all the earth, [21] and whose foliage was beautiful and its fruit abundant, and in which was food for all, under which the beasts of the field dwelt and in whose branches the birds of the sky lodged-- [22] it is you, O king; for you have become great and grown strong, and your majesty has become great and reached to the sky and your dominion to the end of the earth. [23] 'And in that the king saw an angelic watcher, a holy one, descending from heaven and saying, "Chop down the tree and destroy it; yet leave the stump with its roots in the ground, but with a band of iron and bronze around it in the new grass of the field, and let him be drenched with the dew of heaven, and let him share with the beasts of the field until seven periods of time pass over him"; [24] this is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the Most High, which has come upon my lord the king: [25] that you be driven away from mankind, and your dwelling place be with the beasts of the field, and you be given grass to eat like cattle and be drenched with the dew of heaven; and seven periods of time will pass over you, until you recognize that the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind, and bestows it on whomever He wishes. [26] 'And in that it was commanded to leave the stump with the roots of the tree, your kingdom will be assured to you after you recognize that it is Heaven that rules. What is the interpretation? Siya yung puno and what will happen to the tree? It will be chop down and what will happen to the king? His mind will be changed into that upon of a beast and he would eat grass for how long? Seven years. What can we learn why is God doing that to him. What is the major lesson that God wants this most powerful man to learn and if we can learn it to then we will know the first secret of becoming no. 1. What is the lesson? What is his problem? Arrogant, pride, what makes you say that he’s arrogant? How do we know yung king was proud. How do we know that we are proud. Do we how God looks at the proud? How. What does God do? He chops the proud down to sides and bago natin tingnan ito let’s give the principle first. The principle is found in 1Peter, let’s go to 1 Peter 5:5-6, GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. [6] Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, that’s the principle. Let’s read together once again GOD OPPOSES THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. therefore [6] Humble yourself, that He might exalt you at the proper time. We need to understand this principle. Can you imagine if GOD is opposed to you, can you imagine what GOD can do to you? this is only a lift, yung ginawa niya sa king it’s only a little demonstration of what GOD can actually do to us. What can GOD do to us? Let’s repeat, GOD OPPOSES THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. therefore [6] Humble yourself, that He might exalt you at the proper time. We need to study this. This is one of the most important principle that you can learn. Okay! Let’s go back and learn what we can. Itong si king we can learn many things. What are the signs of pride that this king has? He was a great king there was no question that he was a great king then in v.5 he saw a dream, it made him fearful then what did he do when he saw a dream? What’s the first thing a king who is alarmed dead. What did he do? he called on a lot of the wise men all of the wise men. You know that’s one of the first signs of pride when we depends solely on men’s wisdom and abilities and exclude God. Do we do that? That’s a very easy thing to do, to depend solely on men’s wisdom and ability to the exclusion of God. Isn’t it strange to us. What else is he depending on not only on the wise men but he was depending on his riches, he was depending on giving him reward and so forth and so on. He was secure because he was rich, because he had the power, he had the position. Doon siya umaasa rather than depending upon God. Is that true of us? Do we tend to depend on our wisdom, on our abilities, on our possessions to what ever it is rather than God? Yes! It’s true and JESUS illustrate that for us. Put our finger there turn to Luke 12, Jesus gives a parable about a man, a businessman. Let’s read from v.15, Jesus gives a warning, a warning to everybody. Let’s read Luke 12:15, And He said to them, "Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions." Anong sinasabi ni Jesus diyan? Ang formula ng buhay ay hinde puedeng mag- accumulate lang ng wealth Luke 12:15. And he told them a parable saying the land of a rich man was very productive. V. Luke 12:16-17, And He told them a parable, saying, "The land of a certain rich man was very productive. [17] "And he began reasoning to himself, saying, 'What shall I do, since I have no place to store my crops?' [18] "And he said, 'This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. [19] 'And I will say to my soul, "Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come; take your ease, eat, drink and be merry." Ganon ba tayo, contented. Remember the king he was already contented on prosperous, ganito rin itong businessman na ‘to contented na siya. Sabi niya sa sarili niya, madami na akong ari-arian I will now take it easy. Eat, drink and be marry. Is that what we do? we eat, we drink and we like to be merry, ganon tayo eh. So, ang sinasabin ni Jesus just because you have all of those things don’t think that you’re okay, don’t think na no. 1 ka na successful ka na. In v. 20, Luke 12:20-21, "But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?' [21] "So is the man who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God." You see if God is not a major part of your life no matter what you do talo ka, you are depending solely on your wisdom, your ability and you exclude God. Businessmen I’m talking to all of you sometimes we don’t see this on ourselves. Alam ba nyo yung pride mahirap makita, we can go around it all our life and we will be excluded from heaven. No proud man can ever enter to heaven. That’s the thing God hates the most if you look at Proverbs 6. Businessmen turn your bible to James 4, for a good practical illustration of what it means to be proud, what it means to be arrogant like the king. James 4, let’s read from v. 1, we do this everyday and we are not even conscious that it is not good James 4:13-17, Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow, we shall go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit." [14] Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. [15] Instead, you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we shall live and also do this or that." [16] But as it is, you boast in your arrogance; all such boasting is evil. [17] Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do, and does not do it, to him it is sin. Ano yung ginagawa nung business man. Is there anything wrong with planning? Nothing wrong with planning. In other words the bible is saying, you know, you don’t even know what will happen tomorrow magpaplano kang ganon as if you have total control of all things di ba. So what’s wrong with that if that it does not input God into the planning. It depends solely on men wisdom and ability. Most of us we do this that’s why what happens to our plans? They all go… so is this clear. If you do a project list and God is not part of that and God is not part of your planning ang sinasabi ni God, ang yabang mo naman kala mo mapaplano mo ng ganon yun. You don’t know what will you. Tomorrow might not be like today, it might be very different. The question you need to ask yourself, tayo what am I depending on to be content? sometimes we depend on our job, sometimes the wife depends on a husband, depends on the husband salary. Wives are you depending on your husband or are you depending on God. The first sign of pride is when we become independent of God, when we begin to solely depend upon or wisdom, our abilities and then God is not included in the picture and anybody tries to make it to the top anybody was tasted a little bit of success will be guilty of this. You know many of us, musicians are at the top of a list. Sa totoo lang in truth and in fact it is not us it is God. One day you could come out your fingers ayaw ng gumalaw. So that’s the first one, go back to Daniel. What’s the second one. What are we depending on for our security? Hopefully it is GOD, not our money, not our job, not our husband so that even if you loose your job or your husband okay lang. What’s the next one. Let’s turn to v. 27, Daniel 4:27, 'Therefore, O king, may my advice be pleasing to you: break away now from your sins by doing righteousness, and from your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor, in case there may be a prolonging of your prosperity.' What was the advice of Daniel to the king? Break away from your sin, what is a sure sign of pride. When you disobey God. When we begin to disobey God. God gives you a command and you disobey it, is that not the height of pride? Whenever we disobey God then that is a sign of pride. Who was the first one who disobey God? Si Lucifer, he was an angel, he was the most beautiful of angels that’s the problem of creating them beautiful yumayabang. So Lucifer thought I can be like God, I can be like the most high God and that’s how he tempted Eve and Adam. And when we disobey God that is the height of pride. Look at Daniel 4:28-32, "All this happened to Nebuchadnezzar the king. [29] "Twelve months later he was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon. [30] "The king reflected and said, 'Is this not Babylon the great, which I myself have built as a royal residence by the might of my power and for the glory of my majesty?' [31] "While the word was in the king's mouth, a voice came from heaven, saying, 'King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is declared: sovereignty has been removed from you, [32] and you will be driven away from mankind, and your dwelling place will be with the beasts of the field. You will be given grass to eat like cattle, and seven periods of time will pass over you, until you recognize that the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind, and bestows it on whomever He wishes.' What can you see here. Immediately the world concerning Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. Look at his hair, what happen to his hair? Until his hair had grown like eagle’s feather and nails like bird’s claws. Twelve months later he was walking on the roof what’s that? Read v. 29 together. Ano ang ginawa nung king av. 29, before he exalted himself. Nothing. He disregarded God’s rebuked. Nire-rebuke na siya the dream was there, it was interpreted by Daniel and what was Daniel advised to him? Go back to v. 27. 'Therefore, O king, may my advice be pleasing to you: break away now from your sins not twelve months later, now. What’s the lesson here? Nag di-disobey na siya kay God he was not treating the poor very well, what else was he doing? God sent him a rebuke, sent a dream, sent God’s man to tell him ikaw yan masama ang mangyayari sa iyo unless you recognize that God is boss, that God is a ruler and what did he do? Nothing. Do you know many of us are like this we see what the bible is saying. We know the truth but we disregard what God is saying to us. Thinking in our head it will still be okay many days from now. Which is worst disobeying or disobeying and disregarding God’s rebuke? Many people that exactly what they do. Turn your bible please to Romans 2:4-6, What happens when God rebukes you and you do not do anything about it? Let’s read Romans 2:4-6, Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance? [5] But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, [6] who WILL RENDER TO EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS: Pag hinde ka raw nagre-repent ano ang mangyayari sa iyo. Look at v. 5, very carefully. God is so patient but because of you stubbornness and what unrepentant heart what’s happening? You are storing up for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation.

Ang application is huwag kang magpakasal sa hinde Kristiyano and yet madami diyan ang tagal-tagal ng nandito sa binging-bingi na siguro. What will they do. because they are now over 30, they grab. Do you think I’m making this up? I’m not making it up this is very, very real, we’ve seen them, I’ve seen at least five in this fellowship who were stupid enough to do it they were all crying, there’s a six to one who’s about to do it, she has not learn. Anyway, do not disregard what ever GOD says. We will rationalized it, we will make up excuses why a bible is not applicable in my situation, gagawa tayo ng excuse. Hinde natin puedeng gawin yon and the more you do that what the bible is saying you are storing up wrath. And one day it will going to hit you. Do you know many people think of judgment day, do you know that there’s a day just for a proud. There’s a day exclusive it’s called a proud day. All the proud be gather at that day. Hopefully none of you will be there although I will be very surprised. Sabi dito storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath. Please be scared that’s the objective, be scared when we disregard God by excusing our sin. Pag dumating ka na dito sa punto na nagdi-disobey ka na tapos dini-disregard mo pa You better watch out it’s not Santa Clause is coming in to town but JESUS CHRIST. Turn your bible to 1Samuel 15:20, Then Saul said to Samuel, "I did obey the voice of the LORD, and went on the mission on which the LORD sent me, and have brought back Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. Ano ang command ni God kay Saul? Sabi ni God sa kanya if you read the first three verses, kill everybody spare no one even the animals do not spare. In his head si Saul sabi niya did I obey or not? I did obey the voice of the Lord and had brought back Agag. By his own words he is admitting that he did not obey yet in his mind he obey. 21, look at what he does. "But the people took some of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the choicest of the things devoted to destruction, to sacrifice to the LORD your God at Gilgal." When you disregard God’s word, God’s rebuke, lagi kand merong excuse. Did they have a good reason for sparing the sheep? To sacrifice the God, there some people who read the bible after so many years naintindihan na niya yung true and yet they disobey God and then they read it agoin they disregard, they’re disobedience. You know they are doing wrong yet they continue doing it. v. 22, And Samuel said,

"Has the LORD as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices

As in obeying the voice of the LORD?

Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,

And to heed than the fat of rams.

[23] "For rebellion is as the sin of divination,

And insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry.

Because you have rejected the word of the LORD,

He has also rejected you from being king."

[24] Then Saul said to Samuel, "I have sinned; I have indeed transgressed the command of the LORD and your words, because I feared the people and listened to their voice. [25] "Now therefore, please pardon my sin and return with me, that I may worship the LORD." [26] But Samuel said to Saul, "I will not return with you; for you have rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD has rejected you from being king over Israel." There are many people in this land, they think they will repent on the last minute, they think they will say, titigasan ko puso ko on the last minute I will repent. Do you know kalokohan yun there’s no such thing because the more you say no, no… patigas ng patigas ang puso mo. Do you think God can be fool like that? of course not. If you read Proverbs 1, nakakatakot sabi if your heart is so hard, you’re disregarding God’s word woe to you, you will call to God like this guy give me pardon you will call to God and God will laugh at you. Many would think God is a forgiving God, of course He is but if you deliberately disregard what God is saying to you please do not be deceive God is not mocked. The day will come when you ask for forgiveness and God will laughed at you Proverbs 1, and your disaster will come. Some of us we know the truth we have come to the bible studies that’s why many don’t like to come to the bible studies bakit? He had seen the truth, they like to erase the truth from the bible but it cannot be erase it’s there and you tell them pare ganito dapat ang gawin mo, you know what they’ll do, will they follow you? No, they will not follow God much less you. So, if we are doing something that is indisobedience to God and God is already telling us through many bible studies, delikado po tayo. Lastly, notice what king Nebuchadnezzar say, you look over to his kingdom the palace that he has built Babylon was the greatest city ever built by man. Tiningnan niya napakaganda sabi niya sinong gumawa nito? Ako, I did it for my glory. In other words he declared independence from God, he did not give credit to God, he did not acknowledge God. That is a declaration of independence. It’s me I did it my way. There are many other signs of pride but this is what we picked up, this is basic and I think for businessmen pag tiningnan natin ito almost every single one of this patay tayo. When do we give thanks? Nasanay tayo pag tayo ay kakain, we say grace and when you are about to work why don’t we give thanks, after work do you give thanks? No, after sex do we give thanks. Sabi give thanks continually, credit God. If you are any of this we suggest like Daniel that you repent when? Now! If you are doing anything that God is bringing to your mind you repent now. Basically, what does this mean? God is opposed to the proud but give grace to the humble. Humble simply means I depend upon God not on yours truly, humble yourself upon the mighty hand of God. You know the promise? If you humble yourself what will happen? God will exalt you, do you like that, do you understand what that verse is saying? If I begin to depend upon God totally what will God do? God will exalt me, kung dito lang sa approach ng men and hinahanap natin talo tayo ang konti ng angat mo non but if you humble yourself under the mighty hand God what will God do? God will exalt you. How many like to be exalted. What does exalted mean? Extreme admiration, who will be the one admiring you? God. Alam mo pagtinaas ka ni God you’ll be together with Jesus and it’s going to be a nice place and if God brings you down you will be together with who? The proud one in hell. Better to be humble than proud. It’s really so nice that God promises to exalt us. When is the point we will become very proud, when God blesses us. It’s very encouraging to me as I look at life as I preached last Sunday in Valle Verde I like to be there, I’m still very ambitious all I learned is that there’s another way to get there to guarantee you, how? Humble your self, learn to depend upon God all the time and did Nebuchadnezzar do it, did he learn it? of course he learned it after seven years of being an animal what happened to him? Daniel 4:34-37

"But at the end of that period I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever;

For His dominion is an everlasting dominion,

And His kingdom endures from generation to generation.

[35] "And all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing,

But He does according to His will in the host of heaven

And among the inhabitants of earth;

And no one can ward off His hand

Or say to Him, 'What hast Thou done?'

[36] "At that time my reason returned to me. And my majesty and splendor were restored to me for the glory of my kingdom, and my counselors and my nobles began seeking me out; so I was reestablished in my sovereignty, and surpassing greatness was added to me. [37] "Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise, exalt, and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just, and He is able to humble those who walk in pride." Did the king learned? Yes! You know how we can apply this to our life, do you know what chapter 4 is? If you look at it for an overview what is chapter 4. Look at v. 1&2. What did the king do that we can copy? How do you know that he has changed. Do you know that this whole chapter 4, it is a testimony of Nebuchadnezzar, look at v. 1&2, I, ako si king here’s what happened to me. that’s his testimony. You know what we can learn here is that king Nebuchadnezzar he prepared a testimony for everybody to hear, so this is the remedy for pride, one of the remedy is for pride is to prepare a testimony about how God, you exalt God rather than yourself. We like you to study this and next week we shall call on some people okay to give their voluntary testimony. How God does change their life pattern it after the king. Let us close with a word of prayer. Memory verses 1Peter 5:6 and Jeremiah 17:5. Before we close in prayer sabi ko sa inyo there’s a day for the people who are proud let me just read that to you very carefully, just listen to me and I will read to you what will happen on that day. That day is found on

Isaiah 2:10-22

Enter the rock and hide in the dust

From the terror of the LORD and from the splendor of His majesty.

[11] The proud look of man will be abased,

And the loftiness of man will be humbled,

And the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.

[12] For the LORD of hosts will have a day of reckoning

Against everyone who is proud and lofty,

And against everyone who is lifted up,

That he may be abased.

[13] And it will be against all the cedars of Lebanon that are lofty and lifted up,

Against all the oaks of Bashan,

[14] Against all the lofty mountains,

Against all the hills that are lifted up,

[15] Against every high tower,

Against every fortified wall,

Against all the ships of Tarshish,

And against all the beautiful craft.

[17] And the pride of man will be humbled,

And the loftiness of men will be abased,

And the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.

[18] But the idols will completely vanish.

[19] And men will go into caves of the rocks,

And into holes of the ground

Before the terror of the LORD,

And before the splendor of His majesty,

When He arises to make the earth tremble.

[20] In that day men will cast away to the moles and the bats

Their idols of silver and their idols of gold,

Which they made for themselves to worship,

[21] In order to go into the caverns of the rocks and the clefts of the cliffs,

Before the terror of the LORD and the splendor of His majesty,

When He arises to make the earth tremble.

[22] Stop regarding man, whose breath of life is in his nostrils;

For why should he be esteemed?
