Daniel 2:14-24

When Arioch, the commander of the king's guard, had gone out to put to death the wise men of Babylon, Daniel spoke to him with wisdom and tact. [15] He asked the king's officer, "Why did the king issue such a harsh decree?" Arioch then explained the matter to Daniel. [16] At this, Daniel went in to the king and asked for time, so that he might interpret the dream for him.

[17] Then Daniel returned to his house and explained the matter to his friends Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. [18] He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. [19] During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven [20] and said:

"Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever;

wisdom and power are his.

[21] He changes times and seasons;

he sets up kings and deposes them.

He gives wisdom to the wise

and knowledge to the discerning.

[22] He reveals deep and hidden things;

he knows what lies in darkness,

and light dwells with him.

[23] I thank and praise you, O God of my fathers:

You have given me wisdom and power,

you have made known to me what we asked of you,

you have made known to us the dream of the king."

[24] Then Daniel went to Arioch, whom the king had appointed to execute the wise men of Babylon, and said to him, "Do not execute the wise men of Babylon. Take me to the king, and I will interpret his dream for him." Okay, Praise the Lord! You know, binabasa pa lang natin yung bible maganda na eh but many of us we it’s hard to comprehend and even harder to translate it into our life, madaling makita kung anong ibig sabihin pero ang hirap itranslate sa buhay and until we can translate it into our life it will not achieve its purpose so let me just quickly try and bring down the principles I’m trying to teach two things at the same time which is very difficult which is trying to teach you not only the book of Daniel but to teach you how to read your bible on your own and then get something out of it every time you read it. So, as far as the latter is concerned the basic thing is kunin mo lahat ng facts, lahat ng nakikita mo and you will do that how, first you pray then you read and then you list down all of the things that you see. You observe what are the facts and then following that… what you need to do is to use these facts now which is very specific and then move them up to what we call the principle level. Get the facts see what they mean and then how do I translate it in my life. For those who are new the book of Daniel basically in chapter 1, nahuli sila ni king Nebuchadnezzar and they were taken captives si Daniel and the other jews and they were being brainwash so that they would serve the king of Babylon and we translated that before, sa atin din bini-brainwash tayo. Who is doing the brainwashing? The world, okay ang demonyo and basically we wanted to share with you to review, you know the devil has been very, very successful in brainswashing people, in brainswashing us and I show you some research result in United States just to go over them once again. You know 87% and these are not a base of 100 people or 200, it’s a base of a hundred plus thousand people which is a very big based research terms 87% do not believe all the 10 commandments are relevant, 91% of them they lie regularly, 75% of employees in the United States do not exert their best effort, majority in the work force admitted goofing of an average of 7 hrs. every week, that’s about one hour a day, half of them admitted regularly calling in seek even though they were perfectly well like the Americans we are not far behind, we have really been brainwashed and sometimes we don’t even know it we are really conforming to the world.
