Moment By Moment

If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple.

Luke 14:26

When we accepted God as our personal Lord and savior, it was through a decision. It was through that decision that we accepted the gift of salvation because the Lord Jesus Christ died for us on the cross. He died, so that we may live.

In the end, our decision defines us.

Do we follow the law because it’s convenient or because it’s right? Do we compromise because it’s easier that way or do we uphold the truth wherever we are because we know that’s what the Lord wants us to do? How many times did we jaywalk because the overpass or the pedestrian line is too far away?

Living for Christ is something we have to do moment by moment. In as much as we need to follow the law because it’s God want us to do (Titus 3:1). Do we dare stand up for the truth or do we follow what’s convenient?

But I refuse
‘Cause I don’t want to live like I don’t care
I don’t want to say another empty prayer
Oh, I refuse

To sit around and wait for someone else
To do what God has called me to do myself
Oh, I could choose
Not to move but I refuse
I Refuse – Josh Wilson
