God does not want us to live in doubt with regard to our eternal destiny. He wants us to live with peace, joy and the assurance of eternal life. If you believe in Jesus Christ, you can be certain that you have eternal life. To believe in Jesus Christ is not just an intellectual exercise but rather an act of total dependence upon Him to save you.

Our assurance of salvation is never an emotional feeling. Our assurance has to be grounded upon the truth of the gospel and the saving work of Christ, not on our feelings.
