KSP launches parenting module for solo parents

By Marose Alvero

The Kool Solo Parent Family Ministry (KSP.fm) launched a new parenting module incorporating a new component to the heart of the ministry — the “kool” parents’ children. In the past, the ministry centered on the concerns, emotions, and needs of solo parents. This year, the spotlight is on KSP kids and their needs, with the objective of improving solo parent and child relationships.

Based on interviews conducted with children of solo parent households, the primary concern of these kids is to spend more time with their parents.

KSP’s focal bridging event for the ministry is a series on parenting specific for solo parents entitled “As for Me and My Home, We Will Serve the Lord — Raising Awesome Kids in a Solo Parent
Household.” Solo parents have been invited as speakers for the different sessions to share their practices and experiences, based on the parenting manual of Pastor Peter Tan-Chi as well as other Christian materials.

The series covers a wide range of topics: communication, discipline, training, influence, building relationships, and more. With children as the utmost concern of every solo parent, the KSP ministry’s purpose is to enhance solo parents’ skills in raising their children in God’s way.
