Already, God was on the move. Already, God has answered their prayer. Already, the waters have parted. Already, God is there for them,
I started 2012 with the firm conviction of praying for the salvation of my grandparents, three sisters and my mom. My grandfather’s salvation was on my priority list because of John Ong’s testimony last Christmas service.
However, God had other plans. It was on the day that Rev. Edmund preached about this that God finally revealed the answer to my prayer.
My sister, who’s second to the youngest, accepted Jesus Christ after we went through the first Biblical Foundation session video.
Contrary to whatever plan I had, God showed me that it was not my will but His will at work. While I had my grandfather as my top priority, God wanted to start His saving work with my younger sister.
God’s waiting room is the hardest. We want God to do it NOW… God’s timing is ALWAYS perfect and we need to learn to wait upon the Lord.
With the Lord starting His work with my younger sister, I still do not know where things would lead to. I don’t know who will be next. What I do know however is that He already answered my prayer and is already at work. All I needed to do was continue on in faith.
God was building their faith because the crossing of the Jordan was not the most difficult. The most difficult was after crossing they were to “possess” the land… and if they have not entered by faith they cannot possess the land by faith.
Right now I finally understand why the Lord let the prayer and fasting week and leadership conference pass before I started with the BF1 series at home. It was to help prepare me to “possess” my prayer.
Through the prayer and fasting week and the leadership conference, I was being prepared so that when He started showing the results of my prayer, He wanted me ready and prepared to cross over to the “Jordan” of my life and “possess” what I prayed for, the salvation of my family.
I am now convinced He wanted me to start with my younger sister. To build her up, so that she would eventually be convinced to come with me during service. That eventually my mother, my youngest sister, my grandmother and my grandfather would be next.
This is God’s show and all I am is a passenger.
I am now one step nearer to my dream, the dream of one day attending church with my family with me, praising, worshipping and serving the Lord.
And by faith I know that that day would come.
